![]() I normally love Ryobi products, but this has been a total failure. Good news is, I see you can get those valves in brass online. Looks like I'm going to have to heat it and use a thread reverse tool on it, or re-tap it (picture 6). I found some youtube videos from people that had issue with it going bad, and breaking off as well. I had trouble figuring out if the piece was plastic or metal. When I used a wrench to see if I could back it out, it broke right off (picture 5). I flipped the unit up, and discovered that the thermal release valve has been cross threaded into the housing, and had a bad leak (picture 4). The biggest issue I had was when I hooked up the hose and turned in the water, it started blasting out from the pump. Just not great when refilling a hot engine in my opinion. Next, when I went to fill the gas, I found you either need to remove the wand, or go across the whole engine with your gas can (picture 3). I suggest adding about 6oz and checking the dipstick fromthat point on. I ended up only needing 8oz of the 12oz bottle. When I pulled the dipstick, I noticed that there was oil on it. It also cautioned against overfilling it. The quick start instructions and booklet said "Pour all but 2oz of the provided lubricant into the engine through the oil fill hole". ![]() The oil fill tube had a sign on it that said "Before First Use: Fill with entire 14oz bottle of provided oil". The first problem I encountered was during setup step of adding the oil (picture 2). My Generac pressure washer has a gallon tank on it, and runs for about 2 hours per tank. I am very interested to see how long the.
